DeLand Dog Parade 2015

If you live in central Florida, and you’ve never been to the Dog Parade in DeLand, do yourself a favor, and go this year!   The Dog Parade, officially known as Mardi Gras on Mainstreet, is a canine version of the New Orleans Mardi Gras, and it’s a HOOT!  Like most parades, we’ll have floats and marching bands, but the focus is totally on the dogs.

Dozens of pet-related vendors (including Bewaggle, of course) will be there with products and show specials sure to delight any dog-owner.  There will be music, food, contests, and of course hundreds of dogs in crazy costumes.  Dogs of every size, breed and background will be in attendance, either as participants or spectators.  It’s just about my favorite day of the year, and once you go, you’ll understand why.

The parade this year is on January 24th, at 11:00 am, and we hope you’ll stop by our booth and say hello.  You can get all the details on their website: http://dogparadedeland.com/

Here’s a small sampling from the 2012 parade.

  1. Please what is the exact address where the parade starts and the exact address where it finishes. Could not find this on any of the sites for it. Also how long does it last? Thanks
    • 101 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand, FL will get you to the center of town. Once you're there, the parade will be coming past. It starts a couple blocks north of there, and ends a couple blocks south. Honestly, once you are in downtown DeLand, you won't miss it.
